6th International Judges Conference on Intellectual Property Law

This conference organized by Admire was held at Hotel Plaza on May 23-25, 2011 in Brussels, Belgium. The Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) was holding its 6th International Judges Conference on Intellectual Property Law. IPO Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, conducts programs to broaden worldwide understanding of intellectual property rights. IPO Education Foundation was sponsoring this conference in cooperation with Chief Judge Randall R. Rader of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Presiding Judge Peter Meier-Beck of the German Federal Supreme Court, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
This unique four-day event featured over 400 invited including nearly 100 judges from all around the world. This conference was modeled after previous conferences held in Washington, DC, most recently in 2009. Conference attendees had an opportunity to share their experiences. Beginning with a welcome reception on Monday, judges attended sessions and social events with intellectual property law attorneys and other interested parties. They also had the pleasure to attend a gala dinner organized at the Groot-Bijgaarden castle. Panelists were highly-experienced judges and practitioners from around the globe. This was truly an international event.
