IEEE SMART GRID WORLD FORUM CONFERENCE

This event organized by Admire was held at Hotel Metropole in Brussels, Belgium on 2-3 December 2010. The IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, comprises more than 360,000 members who conduct and participate in its activities in 150 countries. This unique two-day event featured over 30 invited Smart Grid experts, with insightful presentations and discussions for more than 300 attendees. It provided an international perspective in a broad range of topics covering business and technical aspects, including standards.
The Brussels event consisted of eight sessions with 4-5 key speakers per session. The speakers provided their expert viewpoints during a series of short presentations, followed by an interactive panel discussion. Furthermore the full-length videos of panel discussions and other activities were available for online viewing. Each session had a moderator to lead the discussion, allowing delegates to engage in the debate to inspire new innovative ideas. Registered participants were able to submit questions for these discussions in advance via an online form. The event also provided opportunity for networking at our dinner, and during lunches, coffee breaks and the closing reception
