Destinations

The land of the Legendary Teranga - Senegal

For those on the look for a great destination, cozy temperatures, no jet lag, excellent food and attracting activities… come with us to Senegal.

It only takes you a 5h45min direct flight from Brussels to Dakar to make you experience this lovely African country.

Dakar, known by most of us as the final destination place for the original Paris – Dakar rally, on itself offers a wide range of possibilities. For those of you who are more attracted to some beach settings, we highly recommend Saly at 80 kms South of Dakar.

The Republic of Senegal, independent since 1960, has an excellent French cuisine to offer, and allows you to combine sportive and less sportive activities. You can drive on the track of Paris-Dakar, enjoy a wonderful sunrise breakfast, or sunset dinner, in a wildlife park, float on the Lac Rose (impossible to dive) as its concentration on salt (480 g/l) is almost 50% higher than in the Dead Sea, or/and allow yourself to do some social work by helping local communities with their projects.

Even if you are confronted with last minute decisions; go to Senegal. Max temperatures in the dry season (Dec, Jan, Feb, March, April, May) average 25 to 28°C.

So, no time to loose, contact us, we’ll be glad to tell you about our experiences.

Oman

More than a destination... an overture

Setting of a dramatic metamorphosis. A chronicle of changes only time has witnessed. From a medieval status, the nation today is a platform where east meets west. In only a short span, as history stood in awe, the Sultanate embarked upon its route across the boundaries of time.

From the past to the modern marvel it is today. In this sonata, the only common scale has been that of nature... regal, in its splendid hues, bountiful, in its musical eloquence. A world of fascinating diversity. Coupled with awesome beauty of landscape, surfing coastline and the unmatchable hospitality of the Omani people.

Ahlan Wa Sahlan!

The land of light!

Although Brazil is the largest country of Latin America, it is still to be discovered. Brazil offers a surprising mixture of attractions: its historic heritage of Portuguese, African and Indian background, its exuberant nature not only in the Amazon, the lively beach life and its fascinating cities.

A long distance destination sure, but during wintertime the jewel Rio de Janeiro is only at 3 hours time difference from Brussels. Minimum jetlag guaranteed! Yet, during wintertime it’s summertime over there, which makes Brazil ideal incentive destination.

Brazil offers a surprising mixture of attractions: its historic heritage of Portuguese, African and Indian background, its exuberant nature not only in the Amazon, the lively beach life (more than 7000 km of beach!) and its fascinating cities.

Rio is of course the most famous city: apart from the well-known Carnival, let’s not forget the downtown beaches (30km) and its wonderful setting : fairy tail mountains and bays, Laguna’s … no other cosmopolitan city can be proud on a huge downtown rainforest spread out on a mountain range peeking at the world famous Corcovado. The Cariocas (inhabitants of Rio) are lively people, who fascinate every foreigner: Rio is a must for the curious traveler.

Salvador da Bahia is the soul of Brazil; the rich cultural heritage is concentrated here. Africa is still very present and the Portuguese colonial architecture is omnipresent. Bahia is another discovery, so different from Rio.

The Amazon is one of the last wonders of the planet’s nature. But as a more accessible alternative, the world famous waterfalls of Iguaçu at 1.5 h flight from Rio at the boarder of Argentina are a must. In the middle of a national park it is a wonder of nature, an everlasting spectacle!

Madagascar

Chiquitan, chiquitan, chiquititantan ...
que viva la vida ...

Madagascar is an island which is not satisfied with the simple glance. It is not consumed either. It was seen, at the rhythm of its inhabitants, their dugouts with beam, great spaces of mordorée savanna and muddy tracks.

The exubérance of its tropical forest, the Asian serenity of its rice plantations in steps, the mystery of its tormented lakes and its inhabited karstic peaks of legends, the freshness and the simplicity of its villages of fishermen scattered on three thousand kilometers of beaches, the smile, the kindness and the authenticity of people are not bought, they are to be discovered. Island of contrasts and characteristics, Madagascar does not leave indifferent when one is likely to visit it.

The Kingdom of Thailand draws more visitors than any other country in Southeast Asia with its irresistible combination of breathtaking natural beauty, inspiring temples, renowned hospitality, robust cuisine and ruins of fabulous ancient kingdoms.

From the stupa-studded mountains of Mae Hong Son and the verdant limestone islands of the Andaman Sea, to the pulse-pounding dance clubs of Bangkok and the tranquil villages moored along the Mekong River, Thailand offers something for every type of traveller.

Of course Thailand, like other Asian countries, has been influenced by contact with foreign cultures. But the never-changing character of Thai culture has remained dominant, even in modern city life. Often depicted as fun-loving, happy-go-lucky folk (which indeed they often are), the Thais are also proud and strong, and have struggled for centuries to preserve their independence of spirit.

Cabo Verde - At the crossroad of the continents

At the crossroad of the three continents that border the Atlantic, there is an obligatory stop in the middle of the ocean, the Archipelago of Cabo Verde. Located 450 km off the coast of Senegal, it is composed of 10 islands and 8 islets.

Of volcanic origin and positioned between parallels 15 and 17 of the North latitude, Cabo Verde is made up of two distinctly different types of islands. Its six inhabited islands, located more to the West, are characterized by their mountainous landscapes, whereas the remaining three are distinguished by their long sandy beaches.

The islands are divided into two groups named according to the trade winds that reach them from the African Continent: windward and leeward. The first group consists of the islands of Santo Antão, S.Vicente, Santa Luzia, S.Nicolau, Sal, Boavista, and the second, more to the South, comprises the islands of Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava.

Islanders mix up African, Portuguese, Mediterranean and Latin influences and come out with a flavour that's distinctly 'Cabo'. Most people in Cabo Verde are Creole; about a quarter are of African descent.

The dominant features of the Cambodian landscape are the large Tonle Sap and the Bassac River Systems and the Mekong River, which crosses the country from North to South. The country capital city, Phnom Penh, is located at the confluence of three rivers and is divided into three sections.

Canada - The great Exotic North will always surprise you

Montreal’s charm lies in its relaxed atmosphere. It may not feel like it, but Montreal is on an island 40km long and 15km wide, where the Ottawa River flows into the Saint Lawrence River in Canada’s southeast. The most striking landmark is Mont Royal, and the area south of ‘the mountain’ is called the main downtown heart of Montreal.
