The event started in 1809, following an English example, as a modest exhibition of only 50 plants. Since then it has steadily grown to become a unique exhibition on a grand scale. The finest flowers, plants and botanical treasures, rare for their size, form, color or smell, will all be presented to the public in the halls at Flanders Expo. Come and enjoy plants and flowers from Belgian soil as well as daring creations from the world! Your imagination will be tickled, and you will discover the universal world of emotions & flowers: a pleasant atmosphere and stunning smells, colors, creativity and contemporary floral art. @dmire will bring you in contact with Floriculturists who are more than happy to display their craftsmanship, their skills and their ‘green jewels’, while dynamic landscape architects, international florists, creative designers and artists will combine flowers and plants to summon the ultimate emotion with an interactive session. |

Since more than a decade the Brussels Jazz Marathon draws public from all over the world. A huge jazz party which makes the capital of Europe swing for one weekend in May, with more than 450 musicians performing on the main squares in Brussels with outdoor stages. @dmire is offering packages with discoveries of various clubs and bars which guarantees a fantastic musical experience. | Magritte and Belgian Surrealism: a unique and surprising museum |

Are you accustomed to the traditional museums? Do you think that visiting a museum is not original? Whether you are an art lover or not, the Magritte museum will surprise you! This museum Inspired by the 20th century's most celebrated surrealist painter, both the bizarre and the absurd Magritte. Born in 1898 in Belgium, influenced by the Dadaist movement (1916-1923), Magritte rose to become renowned in the art world for his surrealist paintings. Along with his friends, such as Salvador Dali and Max Ernst, he ignited a global movement that impacted all media including advertising, theatre and movies. He died in Brussels in August 1967. Magritte is best known for his juxtaposition of ordinary objects in unusual context. It was imperative for Belgium to recognize Magritte, a celebrity in the art world, as one of their own with the Magritte museum opening in the most important Belgian city of course, Brussels.
