Meeting Professionals International - Member since 1992.
Brigitte Boone has had several board positions and has been the MPI president of the Belgium chapter in 2004-2005.
The CMM designation has been obtained.
It means that a meeting professional who has earned the designation CMM is qualified to be a leader in her / his business organization and to think and act strategically in order to :
- Position meetings to accelerate business growth.
- Understand and implement the overall vision / mission of an organization.
- Prepare and / or implement a business plan.
- Successfully operate within an organization's culture or help change it.
- Develop and manage an effective resource network.
- Assess cross-cultural and global dynamics.
- Be results-oriented and effect change.

Brigitte has also a CMP designation. A Certified Meeting Professional.
The foremost certification program of today's meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry, the CMP designation recognizes those who have achieved the industry's highest standard of professionalism.

Goals
1.to create a community of interest between Belgian incoming travel agencies and including DMC's.
2.to protect its members from non licensed competition.
3.to act as representative of its members at the Regional, National and International levels.
4.to establish relations for the benefit of the members with Regional, National and International governmental and non-governmental bodies which concern the profession of Incoming agent and/or Destination Management Companies.
5.to dispatch promptly and equally to all members the leads which could arrive to the name of ABITO or without any specific name but obviously for a large distribution.
6.to promote, in association with other similar associations of PCO's, events companies, hotels, etc., the best standards of hospitality in Belgium and the best image of professionalism in the destination.
7.to be part of other associations or group of associations, national or international, sharing the same goals of hospitality and professionalism.
